Algiers, October 23, 2025 — The Algiers International Conference Center (CIC) hosted the official signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between Cevital Group and Haier Group, under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and in the presence of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA).
This agreement marks a major milestone in Algeria’s industrial development, establishing the foundations of a strategic and long-term partnership between two leading economic players.
The ceremony brought together several prominent figures, including the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Industry; Mr. Zhao Pingxing, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of China in Algeria; Mr. Kamel Moula, President of CREA; Mr. Li Huagang, Executive Vice President of Haier Group, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Haier Smart Home Co., Ltd.; as well as Mr. Malik Rebrab, Chairman and CEO of Cevital Group.
This strategic alliance is built on a shared vision: combining Haier’s international expertise with Cevital’s industrial capabilities and local experience to develop an innovative, competitive, and future-oriented national industry.
It aligns fully with the national strategy for economic diversification and the promotion of local know-how.
Grounded in principles of trust, performance, technology transfer, and local skills development, this cooperation aims to drive innovation, create qualified jobs, and position Algeria as a regional industrial and technological hub serving African and Mediterranean markets.
The agreement also reflects the strength of the economic and friendly relations between Algeria and China, and expresses the shared commitment of both nations to foster sustainable and mutually beneficial development.
